Youth Motorbike Community Taxi Cooperative and Financial Inclusion Project

Location: Dar es salaam

This project aims to establish a youth-led motorbike cooperative in Dar es Salaam, focusing on youth providing taxi services to the community. This collaboration will serve as a means for young people to earn a livelihood and as a platform for skill development, financial empowerment, and community engagement. The project will center on fostering a culture of saving and entrepreneurship, ultimately establishing additional businesses beyond motorbike taxi services.

Objectives:

 1. To create a sustainable and organized motorbike cooperative led by youth riders.

2. To provide financial empowerment and skills training to stakeholders within the cooperative so that they can access loan from district allocation fund of 4 percent.

3. To instill a culture of saving and entrepreneurship among the youth participants.

4. To facilitate the establishment of additional businesses by the cooperative members.

Money Matters Accelarate Program

Is an established online community accelaration program that educates young people on leveraging digital skills and AI tools to generate income through available digital jobs and online social media platforms for business. The platform provides both free and paid training and coaching services to empower youth entrepreneurs and job seekers. The platform trained more than 1000 youth on digital skills through organized online webnar, zoom and whatsapp videos.
